Davor Vesligaj

Davor Vesligaj joined the United Nations Climate Change secretariat in 2015 that coincided with the adoption of the Paris Agreement, a landmark international treaty to combat climate change and to accelerate the actions and investments needed for a sustainable low carbon future.

Since then Davor is part of the secretariat’s team that is tirelessly working on setting up the new global transparency framework system whose main purpose is to track progress on climate actions and build trust among 185 countries that joined the agreement.

He is also keen to understand how people form their beliefs about climate change, how to build trust in climate science and how to link scientific evidence on climate change and long-term policymaking that would hopefully keep the next generations and our planet safe.
