Natalija Dedić Plavetić

Natalija Dedić Plavetić, MD, PhD is a Medical Oncologist at the Department of Oncology at University Hospital Center Zagreb (UHC), Croatia from 2009. Currently, she is the Deputy Head of Oncology Outpatient Clinic at UHC Zagreb. Since 2016 she has been working as Assistant Professor at Department of Pathophysiology, Medical School of Zagreb, University of Zagreb.

Dr Dedic Plavetic earned her medical degree at the University of Zagreb and completed Postgraduate study of Biomedicine at Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb and got her PhD in breast cancer in 2011. She is board certified in medical oncology in 2009 and internal medicine in 2003.

Dr Dedic Plavetic’s research interests include biology of solid tumors, hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, prognostic and predictive markers of response to systemic therapy in breast cancer, cell signal transduction pathways and mechanisms of therapy resistance.

She is actively involved in a phase II-III breast cancer clinical trials ongoing and participated in GI tumors clinical trials in the past, as well. Dr Dedic Plavetic has authored several original papers and book chapters, and over 50 publications and abstracts. She regularly participates in local and national presentations and forums. Dr Dedic Plavetic holds various professional memberships, including ESMO, Croatian Medical Association, Croatian Society for Medical Oncology.
