Sam Newman

Sam Newman is the leading authority in the field of cloud native, serverless and microservices architecture. He has worked extensively with the cloud, continuous delivery, and microservices and is especially preoccupied with understanding how to more easily deploy working software into production. 

Sam wrote the book “Building Microservices” in O’Reilley’s release.  He spent over a decade at ThoughtWorks and then then left to join a startup, before setting up his own company. He is a frequent participant in a multitude of world-wide software conferences.

As a keynote speaker at QED 2019, he will give an introduction talk, as well as a very interesting practical workshop, devoted to the construction of micro-service applications!
